At Salsa and Sonrisa, salsa is definitely not a sauce, but a fusion of Latin rhythms in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
So whether you have two left feet, are introvert, extrovert, young or old it is a great way to meet people and keep fit without even trying.
Established in Stamford for over 6 years, the team of experienced dance instructors led by Sonia, will guide you step by step through these popular dances. You can find more details of the team members here
Sonia is also an experienced social event organiser and can add a touch of salsa magic to those special occasions, see below for more information.

Classes
We meet twice a week, with lessons from 7:30 till 9 p.m. although the dancing can carry on until late.

The Danish Invader, Empingham Rd, Stamford
It costs £5 per person per session, although if you pay for 6 sessions in advance you get an extra one free.

Special Social and Corporate Events
Sonia is an experienced and accomplished events organiser.
Sonia and Andrew can add that touch of salsa magic to your special event or social club, providing the music, and dance demonstrations.
We will also teach some introductory steps to your guests or club members ensuring some fun participation, leaving everybody smiling.
This can be for:

Wedding receptions
Birthday parties
Social clubs
Corporate Team Building events
Company award dinners and other presentation evenings
Salsa and Sonrisa started 2009 with a salsa demonstration on 17th January, at The Millstone, Ryhall in their Latin themed evening. See the gallery for some photos.
May 22nd Salsa and Sonrisa are leading the dancing at Bulwick village hall.
June 24th, 30 fun ladies from Joules Clothing had a very memorable dinner at Greetham Golf Club, so much rhythm.
June 27th Stamford Festival, ok we did not win a prize this year, but we had a lot of fun on the float. Our arena demonstration was excellent. See the video clips on YouTube: search for salsa sonrisa, or the link here
July 11th, a salsa demonstration at the Malcolm Sargent School, Stamford. Summer Fayre. We regularly support the fund raising events here.
2nd October it was back to school as sonia spent the day at Bourne Grammar School teaching over 40 enthusiastic youngsters
During 2008 Salsa and Sonrisa were proud to host many birthday and wedding anniversay celebrations at Mi Familia, a Latin American music venue and tapas bar in Stamford (since closed). The team not only demonstrated various forms of salsa dancing but also provided the upbeat music and ensuring a great night to remember on each occasion.
In January 2007, The Rotary Club of Stamford St Martins held a Salsa night raising £130 for charity. You can read more details here on the Rotary Club website.
